making disciples

Adult ministry

Our adult ministries include Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible Study. Our Sunday School trains Christians to study God’s Word.  Our Wednesday Night small group Bible Study is focused on personally applying Sunday's sermon and praying specifically for each other. Both our Sunday School and Bible Study allow for group discussion.

The Gospel of John is the topic for our current adult Sunday School.
Children's Ministry is important at FBC Copan.

children's ministry

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me” (Matt. 19:14). Our children’s ministry encourages children of all ages to know and love God. We have Sunday School for Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade. During the Sunday morning worship service, we have Children’s Church for Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. We also provide nursery care as needed.

Youth Ministry

Our youth ministry seeks to encourage youth to live for Christ through intentional discipleship, connecting youth with the whole church, and hosting youth events like the Alive Youth Rally. Paul said, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Phil. 1:21). That zeal ought to be true of every Christian, no matter the age.

Women's Ministry serves to encourage foremost the inward beauty of the heart for the glory of God.

Women's Ministry

What does it mean to serve God as a woman? In a culture focused on outward beauty, God calls women to be most concerned with the inward beauty of the heart (1 Peter 3:4). Join us for our Women's Bible Study to cultivate imperishable beauty through God’s Word. The Women's Bible Study meets in the Fellowship Hall on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 7 PM.

Men's ministry

God calls men to be servant leaders in both marriage and the church.  Leadership does not always look like being in front, but it does mean using your example as a godly influence. Proverbs says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). Check our events page to join us for our men’s events to encourage each other to grow in godly leadership and to continue following Christ.

Men's Ministry happens in a variety of contexts including pancake breakfasts and outdoor campfire conversations.
